In the not too distant past, I received an onslaught of friendly emails requesting that I post a review, or a blurb, or even a sentence fragment about a new interactive sex game involving a girl on a couch. That game was Virtual Hottie. It was far from perfect, yet still an inexpensive and pleasant diversion. With an interactive 3D dildo. Several years later, persistent creator Hal Rogers has recreated his interactive fantasy and slapped a number 2 on it. I'm not here to tell you that the "sequel" is a whole other level of sexual entertainment. I'm here to tell you that it's several levels and perhaps a few light years ahead of its predecessor. Let the review begin.

It may seem like eons ago, but sometime around 2001, there was a burgeoning new community of underground adult graphic artists who used programs like Poser to create virtual nude mannequins. They traded still images and honored your requests to model lipstick lesbians, aliens violating bound and gagged women in the most, shall I say, *creative* ways, and all kinds of other crazy shit you people think of. This community continues to stay active at Renderotica. But around that time one such innovator formed a team that started taking steps towards what all fans of this material wanted: animation and interaction. They created Somavision and then Somadoll, and today I review their fully interactive virtual sex experience, 3D PlayThing.

The quest to recreate a personalized virtual slut continues in Virtual Fem, a video based AI that you can interact with. It is clearly a throwback to the classic AIVR Girlfriend series where players got a chance to attempt conversation with the girl of their dreams, eventually talking her out of her clothes and into the bedroom. While AIVR went out of business several years back, their idea of merging AI with porn lives on in VirtualFem, which I recently had the privilege of taking out for a test drive.

When 3DSlut came out, it raised the bar on 3D erotica so high that other developers are just starting to catch up. 3DSexvilla raises that bar even further. What's more, and also not surprising, is that it comes directly from the same developers as 3DSlut. If you become a member of one, you get access to the other. And this point is important, because although this newer iteration is better technically and offers more potential, it's nowhere near as feature rich as the original. At least not at the time of this writing.
