Clicking your way through the narrative, and choosing your reaction to certain situations, you take part in the development of relationships between yourself and the girls in the house. As well as the obvious sexual involvement with these fairly varied women – one of the younger daughters is an avid devotee of cosplay for example – there is also a complex emotional side to things, leaving you torn between whom to pay your affections to, and wondering where your heart truly lies.
With English subtitles, well-acted Japanese voices and sound-effects, and sumptuous visuals, this game is certainly a success for the genre. The story is engaging, the basic setting is certainly exciting, and the balance between sex and characterization is just right. While those not used to Hentai games may find the level of user input fairly lacking – you essentially click to pass through text and images – if this is to your liking, you’ll no doubt recognize The Sagara Family as a fine example of its genre.
